Stroetmanns Factury

Stroetmann's factory is the socio-cultural centre of Emsdetten, located in the former textile factory complex on Friedrichstraße. At its heart is the glass-roofed atrium, where the historic brick walls have been preserved and events are now held. The site was converted into an event centre in the 1990s and is currently being modernised in stages.

Motif perforation in a historic setting
In the atrium and on the adjacent interior walls, in addition to the visible bricks, there are light-coloured, flat wall surfaces that can be seen as large-format panels in the photos and room representations on the operator's website. Some of these areas are covered with perforated panels that refer to the history of the building. The powder-coated perforated panels display historical photographs of the factory during its industrial use. By using the protected PerfoArt© process, which allows the motifs to be produced in almost any conceivable size through vectorisation, large-scale, impressive motifs from the past could be integrated into a modern ambience in a contemporary way.
