Powder lacquers are powder coating materials. After the application and melting on the metal subsurface, these coatings generate specific properties. Powder lacquers do not contain solvents or diluents; these binding agents are of an organic nature.
The electro-static powder coating is based on the physical law, specifying that parts of opposite electrical charges are attracted to each other. An electrical field is generated between the spray gun and the earthed workpiece. Based on the electrical charge, the powder particles adhere to the object.
Subsequently, the parts enter an enamelling furnace and pass through a number of different zones. At temperatures of about. 200°C the powder “melts” and generates a uniform layer of powder coating, which later will be cooled off. The parts can be packaged immediately, subsequent hardening is not required.

Using powder-coating for surface refinement is the preferred method for the treatment of perforated and embossed sheet metal plates. Sharp edges and burrs are common with sheet metal. A layer of powder-coating will cover these areas. This type of surface is perfectly suited for installations where all sides are visible, e.g., balcony railings
